China is playing a crucial role in pushing forward with green development and regional cooperation by unleashing enormous development potential, said chief economist of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The Beijing-based AIIB"s chief economist Erik Berglof has been following the topics on green development and "double carbon" policy under discussion during this year"s China"s "Two Sessions." Mentioning China"s "double carbon" plan to realize carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, Berglof said the goal sets an inspiring and ambitious tone to bring the counter together with one common aim.
